The Meeting Between Cambodia and Thailand Foreign Ministers Seem Alittle Better !
The meeting was held for both Cambodia and Thailand Foreign Ministers in Oct-24 in Siem Reap seems a little better since both sides are committed to advise their own military not to use any tension with each other. Hor Namhong said we had to solve the tension with peacefully as well as the Thai Foreign Minister Sompong Amornvivat replied that the gunfire last week was so fast that it was hard to control for both sides since everyone committed to protect each other home land. Cambodia and Thailand Military Meet in Siem Reap
Since a high tension with gunfire exchanged in the last week, Thailand and Cambodia military are expected to negotiate with each other at Siem Reap with a topic on how to make the tension better, border dispute, and the respecting of the land around Preah Vihear TempleĀ on Friday. Both prime ministers Hun Sen and Somchai Wongsawat are also expected to have an official talk in Beijing as well as with many high ranking leaders from European. It should be the time to end the long-running tensions on who is the ownership of land surrounding the temple. The Anger Mounts of Cambodians over Thai People
Cambodians have shown their anger mounts on illegal wading to Cambodia territory around the Preah Vihear temple by Thai troops. For some reasons, This over 3-decade war still makes people remind of how Thai troops want to take Cambodian land as their own property. The wading of Thailand has become more aggressive because Cambodia has put Preah Vihear Temple to a United Nations World Heritage Site. The dispute of over 3 decades about the over 900 year old temple doesn’t seem to finish although it was declared by The International Court of Justice to Cambodia in 1962.
